SAPS have launched a massive manhunt is underway for a Zimbabwean national, Jabulani Thabang Moyo, following the brutal killing of two Roodepoort detectives. The South African Police Service (SAPS) has announced a R150,000 reward for any information that leads to his arrest.
The two officers from the Florida Police Station were allegedly overpowered and shot by Moyo on Thursday, August 8, while he was being transported from a court appearance. The suspect reportedly escaped in an unmarked police vehicle, which was later found abandoned.
The Hawks are now leading the investigation, and authorities have issued a stark warning to the public: Moyo is considered armed and extremely dangerous.
