SEBOKENG.- A plea has gone out to the community members to refrain from the acts of vigilantism after a man was murdered at the Sebokeng Hostel last Saturday.
A murder investigation is underway after a 28-year-old was murdered by a mob at the Sebokeng hostel in the early hours of Saturday.
The police were called to the scene where it is alleged that the man was assaulted by the community at Hostel 4. Police spokesperson, Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane said that according to bystanders, the deceased tried to rape a 17-years-old girl, and that is when the community members started assaulting him.
“The deceased sustained wounds on his head, and he had bruises all over his body. He was found lying on the ground with signs of no life and was declared dead at the scene by the EMS.
