SEBOKENG.- The Sebokeng police attached appeal to the community members to take precautionary safety measures as festive season nears.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane, said that the community is urged to always be alert and not to disclose any financial status or their movements to the public as this puts them in a vulnerable situation.
“We are likely to receive a high rate of theft due to Stokvel savings and the public is advised to use other methods of sharing their savings. Criminals are always steps ahead as some stokvel members disclose confidential information such as how much was saved, where they will be sharing money, and when they will be sharing money.”
The police urge the community members to contact Sebokeng SAPS on 0164662047, 112, 10111, 0860010111, or alternatively via MySAPS App.
