MEYERTON — A Couple were found dead in a Meyerton home on Thursday evening, 11 September. The victims, a 40-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman, were discovered at a property in Extension 5, Silahliwe Sicelo.
According to Police, they were called to the scene around 20:15 following a report of a possible suicide. Upon arrival, officers found the man deceased, hanging from the roof, and the woman lying on the floor with head injuries. A blood-stained hammer was found near her body.
Apparently neighbours told police the couple had last been seen on Sunday, 7 September. Ambulance services declared both deceased on arrival, and their bodies were taken to Sebokeng FPS Mortuary.
Constable Nompumelelo Zazini, spokesperson for Meyerton Police, confirmed the case is being investigated as a murder and inquest.
